Project Choice

The Project Choice Model supports young people as they reestablish themselves in their community after incarceration.  Project Choice provides intensive coaching and case management, as well as wrap around support services, to youth and young adults paroling to Oakland.

The Mentoring Center

The Mentoring Center, located in Downtown Oakland, provides intensive case management services for 25 juveniles both pre-release and post-release.  Services include life planning, cognitive re-structuring and support groups, mental/substance abuse assessments, and referrals to other wrap around services (housing, employment, education, etc.)

Volunteers of America Bay Area, Inc.

Volunteers of America Bay Area, Inc. seeks to reduce recidivism among parolees by providing intensive case management services for 50 young adults both pre-release (San Quentin State Prison) and post release. Services include life planning, cognitive re-structuring and support groups, mental/substance abuse assessments, and referrals to other wrap around services (housing, employment, education, etc.).
